About me
Oleh Storozhuk is a highly experienced ballroom dance teacher and choreographer with over 20 years of expertise. Having started his dance journey at the age of 6, Oleh quickly developed a passion for ballroom dance, leading him to become a multiple-time regional champion in Ukraine. A graduate of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, where he specialised in Ballroom and Latin Choreography and Dance Directing, Oleh has built a reputation for his meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of dance as both a technical and expressive art form.
Oleh’s professional career began in 2000, and since then, he has worked with dancers of all levels. After moving to the UK in 2007, he has taught at numerous prestigious dance schools in London, delivering high-quality instruction known for its precision and depth. His approach emphasizes the importance of refining technique while also encouraging students to connect emotionally with their performance.
As a competitor, Oleh has represented Ukraine and the UK internationally, achieving remarkable success. In addition to being a 10-time Regional Champion of Ukraine, he reached the semi-finals of the Assen International Competition in Holland and ranked among the top 48 couples in the world at both the UK and Blackpool competitions. He was also a Bronze Finalist at the Ballroom National Championship of Russia and a Semi-Finalist at the British National Championship.
Beyond the competition floor, Oleh has extensive experience in theatre performance and has both performed and choreographed numerous shows in London’s West End. This combination of competitive and theatrical experience allows him to bring both technical excellence and artistic creativity to his teaching.
Oleh’s teaching philosophy is rooted in balancing technical rigour with creative expression. His ability to tailor his approach to each student, focusing on both the physical and emotional dimensions of dance, helps him nurture well-rounded, confident performers
